About Ohana School
of Early Learning
A child-centered early learning community proudly serving families in Littleton, Highlands Ranch, and Centennial, Colorado. At Ohana, every child is welcomed as family, and every day is built to inspire.
Our Name, Our Promise
What Does “Ohana” Mean?
In the Hawaiian language, ohana means family, but in the widest, most generous sense of the word. It extends beyond blood to embrace community, neighbors, and friends as one. No one is left behind. No one stands alone.
That spirit defines how we operate our Littleton daycare. From the moment your child walks through our doors, they are part of the Ohana family, known by name, celebrated for who they are, and surrounded by teachers who genuinely care about their growth.
Our mission: The Ohana School of Early Learning is dedicated to a child-centered community providing top-notch academics, whole-food nutrition, fun and inspiring physical activity, and a clean, LEED-certified environment for every family we serve across Littleton, Highlands Ranch, and Centennial.

Why Families Choose Ohana
Four Pillars of the Ohana Promise
Exceptional early learning goes well beyond a classroom at our Littleton daycare. Our four pillars ensure every child in our care thrives mentally, physically, and as a whole person.
Top-Notch Academics
We align our curriculum with what local Littleton and Highlands Ranch elementary schools actually expect. Children arrive at kindergarten confident, prepared, and genuinely excited to learn, not catching up.
Whole-Food Nutrition
Breakfast, lunch, and a healthy snack are made every day in our onsite kitchen by our culinary team. We prepare whole foods that young bodies love and developing brains actually need.
Fun Physical Activity
Movement is woven into every day, not an afterthought. Regular, structured activity breaks give children a safe, inspiring outlet for energy and help build the healthy habits that last a lifetime.
LEED-Certified Environment
Children deserve a clean, toxin-free space. Our Littleton childcare facility is LEED certified, independently verified for indoor air quality, healthy building materials, and energy efficiency. Not just clean-looking. Genuinely healthy.
How We Teach
A Center-Based Approach to Early Learning
At Ohana, your child doesn’t sit passively and absorb; they learn, then immediately work alongside peers in small groups to practice what’s been taught. This “center-based” model produces a deeper understanding and stronger social development than traditional rote instruction.
Before accepting our curriculum approach, we met with local elementary school principals in the Littleton, Centennial, and Highlands Ranch areas to understand exactly what they expect. Our students transition to kindergarten smoothly, not scrambling to catch up.
Kinetic (Hands-On) Learning
Manipulatives, movement-based activities, and tactile exploration that make abstract concepts stick for young learners.
Visual Learning
Picture books, color-coded materials, visual schedules, and art integration help visual learners process and retain information.
Auditory Learning
Songs, rhymes, read-alouds, and structured verbal discussion that build early language and listening comprehension.
🌿 LEED Certified Facility
A Genuinely Healthy Place to Spend the Day
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) plaque on a building is not a marketing award. It is an independently verified certification that confirms a facility meets rigorous standards for indoor air quality, building materials, energy use, and environmental health.
For families in Littleton, Highlands Ranch, and Centennial looking for childcare that takes environmental health seriously, our Littleton daycare campus holds LEED certification. Your child spends eight or more hours a day in this building. It should be genuinely clean, not just freshly painted.
“LEED certification provides independent verification of a building’s green features, ensuring resource-efficient, high-performing, healthy environments for the people inside them.”

Our Teaching Team
We Hire Educators,
Not Babysitters
That is our actual hiring standard, not a tagline. Every Ohana teacher carries a meaningful educational background in early childhood development. Every candidate passes comprehensive background checks and fingerprinting. Every new hire completes a structured onboarding program including classroom observations, feedback sessions, and ongoing professional development.
We believe teachers should be treated and respected as the professionals they are. That commitment to quality is what keeps our teachers here long-term, and it is why Littleton and Highlands Ranch parents keep telling us the consistency at Ohana is unlike any other center they have tried.
You Are Your Child’s First Teacher
At Ohana, we partner with you, not just watch your child. Daily reports, back-to-school nights, and regular parent–teacher conferences keep you informed and involved at every stage. You will always know what your child is learning, how they are progressing, and where we can grow together.
